Terrain & Surfaces

Special Ops is an outdoor venue with all playing surfaces located in a forest. There are no substantial hills, grades or slopes throughout the centre but the ground can be wet and moderate mud is common. Fallen trees and similar forest obstacles can be expected.

In keeping with our environmental ethos, all paths are loose earth, wood chip or small stone chippings. We recommend the use of an outdoor or wider wheel chair. Players with limited sight or movement may require assistance.

Toilets & Welfare Facilities

Due to planning regulations from Wicklow County Council, Special Ops currently uses ‘port-a-loo’ toilets in the basecamp area.

If you require an accessible toilet, or welfare facilities, please contact us at least 2 weeks in advance of your booking to discuss your requirements.

Parking, Assistance & Playing Gear

Special Ops has a large, flat and accessible carpark. It is suitable for cars and buses. The surface is hard but not tarmacked or finished.

Special Ops requires that customers needing assistance are accompanied by a designated assistant from their booking group. This is for their safety and is an insurance requirement.

Protective playing equipement is mandatory for all players. If you believe you will require adapted playing equipment, please contact us at least 2 weeks prior to your booking.
